Blood sugar levels are at the heart of every type 2 diabetic's life. They are his bane his nemesis and yet given the right attitude and diet, they can be his or her friend.
First of all, they can be a down right depressing pain. You think you have done everything right and the next morning, BANG! They are sky high, this will set you up on a cycle of despair for the rest of the day. Do not worry though, worrying in itself will actually make them worse as several chemicals, namely stress hormones, release into the blood stream and will keep sugar levels raised.
The number one key to controlling your blood sugar levels is to control you carbohydrate intake. Now I know there are a lot of mixed views and opinions about carb restricted diets but the truth is, your body can do just fine without quite so many. If anything, people eat way too many of them. Quite literally, some people will eat two or three days worth in just one sitting. Take one of those super size helpings and then sit back and watch, as some people will eat double.
Restricting your carbohydrates is one of the major players in your battle against rising blood sugar levels. The ironic and ultimately tragic catch behind a lot of the so called experts information out there, is that it is a recipe for disaster and will not help you in the long run but will in actual fact, keep you type 2 diabetic. If you look at who are bank rolling these experts and organizations, they are none other than pharmaceutical companies and sugar companies. yes that is almost to sick to be classed as irony but if you find yourself in any doubt, do a tiny tiny bit of research on the web and you'll be pleasantly horrified.
Keeping your blood sugar levels down through carb restriction is just one cornerstone. Visit http://www.squidoo.com/type-2-diabetes-cure for more. The road to a cure for type 2 diabetes is also the same road towards knowledge. Don't allow yourself to be a victim.
